These little Mini Lathes have been made to our specifications so as to include a powerful 400w motor with variable spindle speeds.

The lathe has a 180mm swing & now with 400mm B/C due to our tailstock design is longer than other mini lathes for extra capacity(Adding a chuck ,drill chuck and drill doesn't leave much room for longer jobs lets face it who wouldn't want a few more inchs) .Our electrical box is also a sealed unit not just a box with the standard piece of plastic sheet to protect the electrics from swarf ,coolant or oils. Also the slideways are carfully fitted at the factory unlike some other mini lathes they are just machined not scraped in. This would be an excellent starting lathe for the beginner or experienced hobby machinist also.
We can also supply steel gears for the head for a more robust machine(The reason for plastic gears in mini lathes are mainly due to noise issues as mini lathes are not oil bath heads )
